To mark St.Brigid's day we made St.Brigid's crosses from very special Mayo rushes!
This year we performed 'Toy Story 1.5' for our féile drámaíocht. This required a lot of hard work and effort but we were all very happy with our performance.
In pairs we designed and made our own vehicles. We could make any kind of vehicle that we wanted as long as we used cardboard and other recycled materials.
We were the first class to get to experience our brand new science equipment. This equipment allows us to learn all about forces and simple machines such as pulleys and levers while being hands on with the equipment ourselves. We met a few problems along the way but we put our heads together and figured it all out!
We explored the different shapes and designs that we could create with Tangrams. Some were relatively easy while others took some skill so Ms.Finn helped us with our creations.
Bhaineamar taitneamh mhór as Seachtain na Gaeilge an bhlian seo!
We had great fun during Seachtain na Gaeilge this week. We had a Céilí Mór, a Féile Drámaíochta, the Flag Raising Ceremony and a Tráth na gCeist (table quiz)! Check out some of our photos and videos below!
A very warm welcome to our school blog page. We are really looking forward to a great year ahead. So far, we have had a great first term. The Dubs came in with Sam Maguire and the Army came in to present us with an Irish flag in commemoration of the 1916 Rising. Then we had Halloween! Check out some of our costumes below. Even teacher dressed up! Some of the boys and girls didn't know who she was supposed to be, but some of the parents might remember?!
