Tomorrow is St. Brigid's day. We've been very busy creating St. Brigid's crosses from paper straws and rushes.... Take a look!
As you already know, we are lucky enough to get the chance to go swimming every Friday for eight weeks!
We're so excited for swimming every week! Some of us are in the deep end, some are in the middle, and some of us are learning to swim for the first time! We've been practicing front crawl, back crawl, breast stroke etc. We also get to collect weight from the bottom of the pool and learn to jump into the pool safely!
Our coaches are really nice and we're having a great time!
It is Water Week this week and we have been very busy! Water has been the theme through all our subjects!
An inspector is coming in to see how well our school has been doing with saving and conserving water!
To celebrate our Water Day, we got to wear all blue!
We wrote our mottos to stamp our water waste on footprints and also wrote our promises to conserve water!
We also wrote acrostic poems about water!
Finally, we studied Claude Monet's painting of Waterlilies. We used his painting as inspiration to create our own waterlilies from tissue paper. We used water colours to create the background to our works of art!
You will also see some of our winning posters from the Water week competition!
We hope you like them! :)
