Our class were so lucky to get to go cycling! Each week, for six weeks, we practiced our cycling in the yard. We practiced as if we were on a road and learned about the yield and stop sign, checking for cars behind us, braking, turning and signalling to turn! We also watched a DVD about road safety for cyclists. We learned a lot from the video! Im some of our photos you will see children with Hi-Vis jackets which are very important to wear when on the road so other road users can see us!
Most of us knew how to cycle before so it was a chance for us to get even better! For others, it was a great opportunity to learn how to cycle and they managed to cycle safely all on their own!! What an achievement in such a short space of time!!
We were awarded with cycling certificates at the end of our course!
