We have been learning all about the Great Irish Famine in history class. We studied coffin ships and they're main purpose of bringing Irish people to America in search of work and a better life. They were called coffin ships because of the large number of passengers who died on board the ship. We looked at lots of pictures of coffin ships in class and then we completed our own individual project in which we used a range of materials to create our own coffin ships. Check them out in the pictures below! They are fantastic!!!
