Today we had our school tour. We were very lucky with the weather. It was such a beautiful day!! We went with Mr Shier's class and Mr Duffy's class. In the morning we went down to Fingal Sailing school. We did loads of fun activities such as windsurfing, kayaking and sailing. We loved putting on our wet suits!!! We then took "Toots Train" up to Malahide castle. We ate our lunch out in the sun and then played in the playground with all our friends. We were given a guided tour of the castle where we listened to spooky ghost stories about the people who haunt the castle!! We had such a great day. It was one of the best school tours ever!!!We have been learning all about the different types of swans in Science. We learned about their unique characteristics which helps us to identify them. You can learn more about all the different swans, like we did in science, by clicking the link below. We drew tonal portraits of swans based on the information we learned about. We learned all about shadow drawings in art and used our knowledge when shading the swans. We also wrote fact files on swans. It was a very interesting project!! Every Wednesday we are excited to have a tennis coaching teaching us all the skills in tennis. It is great fun and we love rallying the ball over and back to each other. Roll on Wimbeldon!! |
