We made clay baskets for easter. It took two art lessons to complete the baskets. We moulded the baskets the first week and painted them the next week. We filled them with mini easter eggs. We had great fun making the baskets. In March, our class took part in Bizworld programme for two days. It taught us the basics of entrepreneurship, business and finance. At the start of Day 1, we were put into groups of five. We were taught the basic computer programming skills to develop a movie, Bizmovie. We were taken through the entire entrepreneurial cycle from company formation, applying for jobs within the company to market research. We also learned to pitch to a real Venture capitalist, Dragon’s Den style. We were guided to design, produce and market our movie. Miss Quinn’s class came to our classroom to buy movie tickets and merchandise. This experience ended in the balancing of the finance ledger after movie tickets were sold. We all enjoyed taking part in the workshop as everyone in the class got involved. Thanks very much to our tutor, Nicola for her work and also to Miss Quinn and her class for being such great customers. Our class took part in soccer skills for six weeks before Easter. We learned lots of new skills and had great fun playing soccer. Thanks very much to all the soccer coaches for their work.
Our class took part in Ty Kwan Do earlier this year. Our trainer was Ross and he came to teach us every second Friday for six weeks. We learned lots of skills and thoroughly enjoyed the classes. We thank Ross for coming to our school and teaching us.
For six weeks, ladies from the locality kindly gave their time to teach us how to knit. We learned about plain and purl stitching. Some of us made headbands, scarves, phone holders and more. We are very thankful to the ladies for giving of their time to teach us.
