Green Schools Committee

Our School has been awarded two green flags already. Our first flag was awarded for our efforts in Litter and Waste and our second flag was awarded for work towards saving Energy. We are currently working on our third green schools flag which is for the theme of Water.
Meet our committee! The committee all wear their “Green School sheriffs” badges when they are on duty in the school. The committee is made up of one boy and one girl from each stream. Committee were all interviewed by Miss Quinn before earning their place on our Green Schools team. |
|
Our first job was to do an environmental review. We counted all the taps and toilets in the school to see where water is used in the school. We then devised our Action Plan. We meet together twice a month at lunchtime and regularly at break times. We discuss our Action Plan and all the ideas we have to help save water in the school. You can see our Action Plan here.

The committee are on duty daily checking every classroom to see if Green Schools posters and the Green Schools code is displayed for all pupils to see.
