Orchestral Odyssey
'Orchestral Odyssey' took place in our school on June 13th. The school choir performed with a 33 piece, professional orchestra. This concert was organised in conjunction with Fingal Arts Office. All of the pupils in the school were invited to watch the concert in the school hall.
We heard all of the different instruments that make up the orchestra. They played classical pieces dating back 200 years and more contemporary music from films and TV that we all watch today.
Our choir sang three songs with the orchestra- The Climb, Touch the Sky and You'll Never Walk Alone. Their performance was fantastic and they were highly commended by the professional musicians who visited that day. The choir looked so well and the sound was amazing. It was a great event for the entire school community.
