Scoil Chrónáín Reopening Plan
Our school staff are making the final arrangements for our return to school on the 27th August. We intend taking everything slowly and carefully to insure the safety of your children and our staff.
We will stagger entry and exit times to school to lessen the number of children moving about the school grounds at the one time. We have a plan in place and will modify it if needs be.
Every class will be divided into two groups in alphabetical order of your child's surname. The first group will line up at their designated points on the yard for 09.00 when their teacher will collect them and bring them into the class. This group of children will go home at 14.25.
The second group will line up at their designated points for 09.15 when they will be brought into the class. They will go home at 14.40 (Every class will get an individual Komeer message letting you know which group your child is in).
For the first day only (Thursday, 27th) 5th and 6th classes should come in at 09.00 and 09.15. and 3rd and 4th classes should come in at 10.00 and 10.15.
To avoid too many children in the school grounds at the one time we ask that children don't come into the yard any more than 10 minutes before line up time.
Our students are older and don't need to be accompanied to the assembly points in the yards. We need to leave circulation space for the junior school children - many of whom are too young to come in by themselves. Most of our students should be able to come to their line up places by themselves. If you are collecting your child after school please make sure to choose a meeting point off school grounds and that your child knows exactly where to meet. If you are in the vicinity of the school we respectfully ask that you remain 2m distant from every other child and adult at all times.
Children only need to bring their English and maths books; 2 copies (maths and writing), pens/pencils and lunch for the first few days. The teachers will let them know when to bring in their other books.
