New Applications

Scoil Chrónáin is accepting enrolment applications for children to attend 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th class in the coming academic year. Complete the enrolment application from and email to scholchronainsns@gmail.com.
Once received, the school will contact you.

Enrolment applications received before March 13th
Thank you for your completed application. We are delighted to offer your child a place in our school for the coming academic year. Unfortunately we won’t be able to hold a meeting for all new parents in June as planned. Information for new parents is available on our website and will be updated regularly.
The new academic year commences on 27th August, 2020. We will have to wait for instructions from the Department of Education and Skills (DES) about how and when children will return to school. What we are certain of is that it won’t be ‘business as usual’. We will work with the DES to provide the safest and best possible education for your children in whatever circumstances are permissible. We are very fortunate to have six teachers for the incoming 3rd classes. Having small class numbers will be very advantageous while trying to manage the ’new normal’ of maintaining social distance. It will also be of great educational benefit to children to have small class numbers.
Details about class teachers and room numbers will be made available, as always, in the last couple of weeks in June. This will be done when appointments and enrolment numbers are finalised.
I know that First Holy Communion for the second class children has been cancelled for now. The senior school was very fortunate to have had Confirmation very early in the year before schools closed. If your children haven’t made their First Holy Communion before joining the senior school we will work closely with the parish as they organise this.
The senior school uses a communications app to keep parents regularly updated and notified of school events and business. Before the school closes for the summer you will be invited to join the schools app. Details of how to join will be posted here.
