Parents' Association

We support the National Parents’ Council’s Aim which is:
To improve and enrich the education of children and to support the involvement of parents in their education.

The National Parents Council also believes that:
Parents are the primary educators of their children and it is therefore important to establish an active partnership between parents and the school. It is also important for parents and teachers to work together for the benefit of children.

If you are interested in finding out more about the work of the National Parents Council,  their website address http://www.npc.ie
The main aims of the Parents' Association are to involve you, the parents, in the education of your children and to offer teachers support in the course of their work.

We hope to circulate a newsletter in early September to bring parents up to date on what was achieved during the last school year and to outline the agenda for the AGM which will be held on/about 30th September.

The Parents' Association aims to represent the views of all parents in the school. We hope that we will work closely together for the benefit of our children over the coming school year.

All parents are automatically members of the Parents' Association and some are elected to represent each class grouping in the school. Meetings are usually held on the first Monday of each month and all parents are welcome to attend. If you would like to become involved in the parents' association come along to a meeting or contact an officer of the association. Contact details of officers are posted on the school notice board.
